1x01 — Prologue + Super Spartan i
I was a big fan of the original anime series and its cyberpunk aesthetic. When I first saw the trailer for this new 2026 adaptation, I wasn’t sold on the art style. After watching the first episode, though, I can say it’s nowhere near as bad as I expected.
The main drawbacks so far are the breakneck pacing and the lack of any real introduction: the series throws you straight into the story without providing much context or giving you time to get to know the characters.
